Think Like a Black Belt™ – Jim Bouchard Interview

We all have those days when it seems that everything and everyone is against us. A meeting we’re facilitating takes an ugly turn, customers are making unreasonable demands, the boss decides to move up the deadline for our project from next week to tomorrow, etc. And we feel beaten down.

Those are the days we need to “Think Like a Black Belt!™” In fact, thinking in the manner Jim Bouchard shares in a recent interview is an approach most of us can apply to just about anything we do.

Jim is the author of the book, Think Like a Black Belt!™ scheduled for release this May. Jim went from being a drug abuser, college drop-out and failure to success as a professional martial artist and Black Belt as well as a highly sought after speaker, consultant, and author.

I know you’ll enjoy our interview and Jim’s perspective on how Black Belt thinking applies to personal and business life.

Jim has graciously provided some free gifts to listeners of the interview, which can be found at http://jimbouchard.org/snow.htm.

Neil Ducoff Interview – No Compromise Leadership

I recently had the opportunity to interview Neil Ducoff, author of the best-selling book, No Compromise Leadership: A Higher Standard of Leadership Thinking & Behavior. I’ve known Neil for about a year and a half, and respect him as a thought leader when it comes to effectively operating a business.

During the interview Neil discusses how to create a “no compromise” culture in which every member of the organization is committed to its success. He cautions against those seemingly “insignificant” compromises leaders make every day, resulting in significantly diminished results. I think you’ll appreciate his candidness and his ability to say things in a way that will make you consider your own situation and the decisions you make.

For more information about Neil, his book, and his speaking/consulting offerings, go to www.nocompromiseleadership.com. One thing Neil doesn’t mention during the interview is that while his book is available through his Web site, Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, etc, it is also available as an audio download on his site.

Customer Service and The Amazing Service Guy

I recently interviewed Kevin Stirtz, The Amazing Service Guy, on the subject of improving customer service. Kevin’s experience as a speaker and consultant has led him to engagements with organizations like Urban Outfitters, Supercuts, Pep Boys, and Embassy Suites.

Kevin also hosts one of the best customer service sites on the Web, www.AmazingServiceGuy.com.

Customer Service Brilliance

For some time I’ve wanted to add audio interviews to my blog and have finally made it happen. I hope to regularly interview some of the people I admire and share those interviews with you.

The choice for my first interview was a no-brainer. Simon T. Bailey is someone I’ve admired since working with him at Walt Disney World many years ago. Simon is now a world-class speaker and consultant, focusing on the subject of “brilliance.” He has a best selling book, Release Your Brilliance: The 4 Steps to Transforming Your Life and Revealing Your Genius to the World.

I’d encourage you to share this 25-minute interview with your employees and colleagues; Simon’s insights can help any individual and any organization “release their brilliance.” To listen, click on the arrow below.
